Dr. Melana Martens was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has had a huge passion for helping animals and knew her career path since she was 5 years old, and started working in a veterinary clinic since she was 15. She received her Bachelor’s degree and Doctorate from Oklahoma State University. She has been practicing at East Maryland since 2005 and loves this north central community. She takes pride in calling herself a dermatology nerd as she really enjoys skin issues, especially allergies. She also loves internal medicine and senior comfort care as well.She has a Cavalier King Charles named Mr. Kiwi Pancake Pants and a large breed mutt, rescued from Tijuana, named Dublin. She loves her family time with her young daughter Ella Rose and son Kellen.
