East Maryland Animal Hospital wants to assure our clients that our top priority remains satisfying the needs of our clients, both two–legged and four, during this unprecedented time. Under Governor Ducey’s executive order to “Stay Home”, we are considered an essential business and will remain open with new procedures in place. We kindly ask that our clients are familiar with our new policies to ensure your safety and ours.
Effective Immediately, we are asking that our clients do not physically enter the hospital. We are now exclusively offering curbside drop-off and pickup limiting as much access to the lobby as we can.
Respectfully, we are asking clients showing any signs that can be associated with COVID-19 (cough, fever, shortness of breath), or people who have recently traveled to/from an area with known community spread, do not make an appointment until 14 days after travel/free of symptoms. If there is an emergency, call us on the phone and we will figure out how to proceed.
Medication/Food
For any medication or food you might need, please call (602) 279-7366. Payments will be made over the phone as well; we are not accepting cash at this time. To pick up your medication or food, you will need to call ahead and follow the curbside pick-up protocol listed below.
Appointments
If your pet needs to be looked at in person by one of our veterinarians and you make an appointment, this is the new protocol to keep everyone safe: When you arrive for your appointment, call us (602) 279-7366 and we will get all of the information we need (phone number, vehicle information, and further instructions)
The next call will be with our medical staff who will confirm your reason for visit, and then ask some basic questions about your pet’s medical history
A team member will then come out and retrieve your pet from the car to be taken into the hospital for a physical evaluation. If your pet is scheduled to see a veterinarian, then they will also examine your pet and call you with their feedback/treatment plan
Once you are done talking to the doctor, another team member will call you for payment. (Credit Card only! We are not accepting cash/checks)
After the payments is sent through, a team member will return to your car with your pet, medication that was prescribed, along with any further information you might need.
For any new clients making an appointment, please fill out our New Client Form and email it to [email protected] before your appointment.
We hope everyone is staying safe during these tough times. Thank you for your understanding as we work to ensure the safety of all of our clients!
